Classical Artač with cello and humour among the music classics
Tilen Artač, a master of imitation and above all an academically trained musician, together with the Slovenian Youth Orchestra, cello and conductor's baton, invites the audience on a journey through the evergreen repertoire of the eternal classics by Johann Strauss, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Ludwig van Beethoven, Gioachino Rossini and others. Tilen and SMO prove that classical music is essentially fun music in disguise!
Project performance
The project is conceived as an innovative fusion of classical music and humour. Under the artistic direction of conductor Živa Ploj Peršuh, the script was signed by Tilen Artač and Jure Godler.
In a month and a half, we have implemented 16 concerts in 13 cities, whereby 6 concerts in full sold out. We attracted more than 6000 visitors!
The Classical Artac concert and the classical music that goes with it is become the number one topic in classical music and pop culture in Slovenia and the region.
The purpose of the project
Our mission is clear: we want to make classical music attractive and accessible, to bring it to a wider audience, and to stimulate interest in the young talent that is the future of the art form. Each ticket is not just a ticket to a concert, but a support for the young musicians of the Slovenian Youth Orchestra, who are dedicated to building the contemporary Slovenian cultural scene.

SMO has been active since 2019. Concerts and touring are our greatest passion. Alongside these, we inspire children to make music every summer at the Summer Orchestra Camp and push boundaries with socially responsible projects like Music for the future.
