Irma Močnik graduated in choral conducting from the Academy of Music in Ljubljana, majoring in music pedagogy. She is a music teacher and choirmaster at the Davorin Jenko Primary School in Cerklje na Gorenjskem and choirmaster of the Youth Choir and the Youth Vocal Group of the Ljubljana Music Matrix. With her ensembles she prepares concerts and music-scene events, youth operas, participates in national and international festivals and competitions. She trains young singers for pure and natural singing, a deeper experience of music and spontaneity and conviction in performance. She seeks to involve all their musical, acting and other artistic talents in their performances. He uses the knowledge he has acquired in numerous seminars, training courses and international symposia for choral music to inspire his many singing ensembles. As a conductor she has also participated in the Choral Boom and the Slovenian Children's Choir. She also arranges and writes original music and poetry and translates foreign choral literature into singable Slovenian.
