In August 2019, the #POK Orchestra Camp took place in the form of an active music holiday.
#SMO #POK was attended by 65 young musicians from all regions of Slovenia. From 23 to 30 August 2019, music and other artistic workshops with various themes and preparation for the concert with Vlad Kreslin in Križanke took place in Ljubljana. Composers Jani Golob (Slovenia) and Valter Sivilotti (Italy) re-arranged carefully selected songs by Vlad Kreslin as pieces for symphony orchestra especially for #SMO #POK. During the first three days of the camp, we first conducted sectional rehearsals for individual instruments or groups with mentors for technical and stylistic musical refinement. This was followed by joint rehearsals with the orchestra and rehearsals with Vlad Kreslin. Artistic workshops for young musicians were organised together with the Pioneer Centre for Youth Culture, which touched on other arts and skills that open horizons and build confidence, concentration and self-confidence for a relaxed and simply better performance of young musicians. On the day of the concert, a dress rehearsal with a sound check was held first in the Križanke Summer Theatre, then a joint sound check before the concert and finally the concert.
