1. 3. 2023

The Event

As part of the 6th Ljubljana Winter Festival, the Slovenian Youth Orchestra performed on 1 March 2023 in the Gallus Hall of Cankarjev dom. Violinist Robert Lakatoš and clarinettist Arthur Stockel performed as soloists with the Slovenian Youth Orchestra under the baton of Živa Ploj Peršuh.

Serbian violinist Robert Lakatoš was the youngest violin student at the Academy in his home town Novi Sad, where he now works as a lecturer, and continued his studies at the Zurich University of Music and with Julian Rachlin at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. He is also the winner of the renowned Pablo de Sarasate International Violin Competition.

French clarinettist Arthur Stockel has established himself as a passionate and eclectic musician through his virtuosic and multifaceted career as a soloist, chamber musician and orchestral member. He trained with the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra, the Gustav Mahler Chamber Orchestra Academy and has appeared under the batons of conductors such as Daniel Harding, Valery Gergiev, Antonio Pappano and Vladimir Jurovsky.
