Double bass player Stevan Jovanović is a member of the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra in Ljubljana.

As a soloist and member of chamber ensembles and orchestras he has performed in Slovenia, Serbia, Austria, Norway, Croatia, Montenegro, Italy, Germany, China and the USA. He has shared the stage with renowned soloists Bryn Terfel, Thomas Hampson, Emmanuel Tjeknavorian, Stefan Milenković, Gidon Kremer, Jasminka Stančul, Simon Trpčeski, and world-famous conductors, among others: Cristoph Eschenbach, Semyon Bychkov, Dennis Russel Davies, Uroš Lajovic, Charles Dutoit, Heinz Holliger, Zubin Mehta, Vasily Petrenko, in the halls "Wiener Musikverein", "Konzerthaus Wien", "Carnegie Hall", "Cankarjev dom", Ilija M. Kolarc, Belgrade Philharmonic Hall.

He has participated in many important national and international projects such as Ljubljana International Orchestra, Festival Maribor, Wiener Jeunesse Orchester, Youth International Philharmonic Orchestra USA, Festival Grafenegg Austria and many others.

He graduated from the "Vatroslav Lisinski" Secondary School of Music in Belgrade under the class of Prof. Saša Kulenović, then continued his studies under the class of Prof. Josef Niederhammer at the "Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien" in Vienna, and completed his Master's studies in Ljubljana, at the Academy of Music in Ljubljana, under the class of Prof. Zoran Marković. He studied with Bozet Paradžik, Klaus Trumpf and Miroslav Gajdoš.

During his schooling he performed in the projects of the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra and as a young budding musician he performed as a solo double bassist in ensembles such as the Children's Regional Philharmonic United, the "ZORT" Orchestra and the Youth Philharmonic "Borislav Pašćan". At the University of Vienna he was a member of the "Anton Webern" orchestra and chamber orchestra, as well as the "Camerata Academica" and "Ensemble Dissonance" in Ljubljana. He is a regular member of the independent ensembles "Camerata Serbica", "Muzikon" and "Eastern European Bass Ensemble".
