Summer Orchestra Camp
Slovenian Youth Orchestra
Each year, the Summer Orchestra Camp brings together around 100 young Slovenian musicians to form a large, ad hoc symphony orchestra. Over the course of a week, young people have the unforgettable experience of meeting peers and role models, learning, making music, creating together and preparing for the grand finale: a performance on the big stage of Ljubljana's Križanke in the company of world-class, internationally renowned soloists.

How does the programme work?
6 hours a day, 3 hours in the morning (10am to 1pm) and 3 hours in the afternoon (4pm to 7pm), with social and musical activities in the evenings.
The first three days are devoted to breakout sessions in the mornings and creative workshops in the afternoons.
The following days are devoted to activities in preparation for the final concert on the last day of the camp, 23 August at 20:30 in Križanke as part of the 71. Ljubljana Festival.
Instruments of this year's orchestra:
violin, viola, cello, double bass, flute, oboe, clarinet, saxophone, bassoon, horn, trumpet, trombone, percussion, timpani.
What is the price?
- 8 days' participation including accommodation (full board): 450 EUR
- 8 days without accommodation; with lunch and dinner: 270 EUR
- 8 days without accommodation; with lunch only: 160 EUR
The registration fee (EUR 50) is payable at the time of registration and is non-refundable in case of cancellation.
Who is it for?
For musicians between 12 and 22 years of age who are enrolled in music education. Anyone can join, without audition.
#POK 23: From Berlin to Broadway
This summer, we'll be travelling with music from Berlin to Broadway, with one of the most popular vocalists in musical theatre Ute Lemper.Her name immediately evokes cabaret. She has established herself as a versatile artist on theatre and concert stages, in films and on numerous records. She is internationally acclaimed for her interpretations of Kurt Weill and Berthold Brecht, chanson, and for her performances on Broadway, in Paris and in London's West End. She is close to stories of loss, love, survival, passion, dreams and fear, wrapped in stunning music: from the French chanson of Jacques Brel, Edith Piaf and Léo Ferré to the Argentine tango of Astor Piazzolla. The concert will also feature works by the successful musical composers Kander and Ebb, as well as evergreen songs by Bob Dylan, Van Morrison and Charles Trenet. The orchestra will also add the virtuoso hits Three Dance Episodes from the musical On the town Leonard Bernstein.
