The Slovenian Youth Orchestra is made up of the most promising Slovenian musicians, aged 16 to 26, from Slovenia and abroad, where they study and perform.

The orchestra is renowned for its superb performances of classical music, as well as for its participation in genre-diverse projects that combine classical music with other musical genres. The concert will take the audience through unforgettable works that have shaped the history of cinema.

They will perform a selection of works including the heart-rending Intermezzo from Pietro Mascagni's Cavalleria Rusticana, made famous by the Godfather trilogy, and the Floral Waltz from Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker, which has inspired many filmmakers.

The programme will also be enriched with contemporary works such as Laurie Porre's Entropia, as well as Slovenian blockbusters that have made a significant contribution to the Slovenian film and music legacy.
