Tilen Artač, a grand master of imitation and above all an academically trained musician, has joined forces with the Slovenian Youth Orchestra. Together they delighted at a concert treat at the Slovenian Philharmonic.
The Slovenian Youth Orchestra and the Classical Artač have promised a concert where visitors will experience serious music in a humorous way. Mozart, Strauss, Golica, Beware, you're sleeping with your feet up, Radetzky march ... and all these forms. Well, the forewords are spoken by Tilen Artač, who has entered an area that has not yet suffered his intervention - in front of the orchestra. As part of his Slovenian tour, he also took to the stage of the Slovenian Philharmonic, where, with cello and conductor's baton, he took the audience on a walk through the evergreen repertoire of the eternal classics. The repertoire of this comic journey through the musical repertoire includes, for example, the perennial hit of New Year's concerts Radetzky's Koračnica, Little Night Music, Nessun dorma and many other well-known melodies.
"I was really looking forward to performing with the Slovenian Youth Orchestra. I am at home in classical music, having been involved in it from an early age. Of course, I was looking forward to the understanding and support of the orchestra. (laughs) I am aware that I am not exactly Riccardo Muti, I am Riccardo Malmuti," says the star of the evening, Tilen Artač, with a smile, adding that concerts of this kind should be offered to audiences more often.
ENTHUSIASM FOR THE PROJECT
The Slovenian Youth Orchestra was led by conductor and founder Živa Ploj Peršuh, who emphasised that the main aim was to create a relaxed and cohesive concert experience. "We are extremely happy that everyone is inspired by the collaboration, because artists and musicians, especially young musicians of the Slovenian Youth Orchestra, should and must also think of their audience and music as a moment when it speaks to them powerfully, suggests to them, soothes them and excites them. Tilen is also more than excellent, and judging by the audience's reactions, I am not exaggerating when I say that Artač is phenomenal," said the renowned conductor, who received congratulations at the post-concert party, where Artač was unfortunately not present due to being too tired. But that did not spoil the festive atmosphere at the post-concert reception, where many famous faces mingled.
THANKS TO THE CONDUCTOR
"The concert and the really enjoyable socialising afterwards were the highlights of our performances in Ljubljana. Last Saturday and Sunday we sold out the Slovenian Philharmonic Hall three times, which is a great achievement for us and a recognition of the effort and dedication of everyone involved," said Živa Ploj Peršuh.
