Živa Ploj Peršuh is a musicologist and one of our most talented, renowned and versatile conductors. She is the founder and artistic director of the Slovenian Youth Orchestra (SMO), with which she will perform at the 7th Ljubljana Winter Festival.
The Slovenian Youth Orchestra is a project involving young musicians between the ages of 16 and 26. In 2022 it was accepted as a full member of the European Federation of National Youth Orchestras (EFNYO). In the same year, Ploj founded the artistic and humanitarian project Music for the future, which brought together young talented Ukrainian musicians with the musicians of the Slovenian Youth Orchestra.
