"Rok's artistic and musical talent easily captivates audiences. His playing displays classical musicality, virtuosity, a very beautiful sound and a superb violin technique." These are the words of Prof. Anton Sorokow, the first concertmaster of the Vienna Symphony Orchestra. Before that, at the age of just 16, he had been admitted to the Academy of Music in Ljubljana as an exceptionally gifted young talent and completed his undergraduate studies there under the tutelage of Prof. Vasily Meljnikov. He is currently pursuing his Master's degree in his class.

Rok won 2nd prize at the Valsesia Musica International Competition in Italy, the Promotion Prize at the Fritz Kreisler Competition in Vienna, 2nd prize at the Stefanie Hohl Violin Competition in Vienna, 1st prize at the Young Virtuosi Zagreb International Competition, 1st prize at the TEMSIG National Competition, 1st prize at the Niš International Competition and 1st prize at the Trieste Ars Nova Competition. In 2023, he qualified for the semi-finals of the renowned P.I. Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow.

He has a lot of experience in solo playing with orchestra. His performance of Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto with the AG UL Symphony Orchestra earned him the Prešeren Prize for Academic Achievement. He also performed Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto with the Maribor Symphony Orchestra, Sibelius and Brahms Violin Concertos with the Vivaldi Symphony Orchestra, Mozart's Violin Concerto with the Mendelssohn Chamber Orchestra and Vivaldi's Concerto for 4 Violins with the Amadeo Orchestra. He also appeared as soloist in the St Nicholas Concerto with the RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra.
