71. Ljubljana Festival is coming to an end

Last year, the 70th Ljubljana Festival was closed by the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra with Finnish conductor Esa-Pekka Salonen.


The Ljubljana Festival, which is catching its last breaths this year, has visibly picked up the pace in the final phase of its 71st edition. In the past few days, a number of their events - including a few near sell-outs - have taken place on the stages of Križanke, Križevniška Church, Cankarjev dom and Peklensky dvorišča.


71. Ljubljana Festival, on 22 August, it was also possible to see the musical Povodni mož (The Water Man), which was quite well received by the Slovenian audience.It is directed by Sara Lucu from the dramatic point of view, and the musician Neža Buh - Neisha from the musical point of view. On 23 August, Križanke also hosted a performance by vocalist Uta Lemper with the Slovenian Youth Orchestra conducted by Živa Ploj Peršuh, and just a day later a concert by the chamber jazz group Bossa de Novo.
