Summer Orchestra Camp, bringing young musicians together in a large symphony orchestra

Last Wednesday marked the start of the summer orchestra camp organised by the Slovenian Youth Orchestra under the direction of conductor Živa Ploj Peršuh.

This year, 96 young musicians aged 12 to 22 from all over Slovenia took part, joined by a few musicians from Ukraine who found refuge in Slovenia last year. In less than a week, the young musicians have rehearsed songs from various cabarets and musicals, and tomorrow they will perform on the stage of Ljubljana's Križanke together with German chansonnier Ute Lemper. This was also the reason for many of them to attend the summer orchestra camp. Trepidation or not, tomorrow it's for real.
