We are starting rehearsals and preparations for the much-awaited concert that will open the Slovenian Youth Orchestra's season 2024 and will also be the closing concert of the 7th Ljubljana Winter Festival. This year's orchestra line-up consists of talented young musicians studying both in Slovenia and abroad, united in a week of music-making.
The Slovenian Youth Orchestra continues its support for Ukrainian musicians and is delighted to welcome young musicians from the Music for the Future project to join their peers on stage.
On the stage of the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra, the orchestra will be joined by soloist Rok Zaletel Černoš. Rok is the first Slovenian violinist to participate in the prestigious P.I. Tchaikovsky International Violin Competition in Moscow. He is currently continuing his master's studies under the mentorship of Prof. Meljnikov and completing his studies at the Vienna University of Music and Performing Arts, for which he is receiving a scholarship from the Municipality of Ljubljana.
Book Friday evening, 23 February 2024, for the Slovenian Youth Orchestra at the Slovenian Philharmonic.
The programme, put together by Živa Ploj Peršuh, the orchestra's artistic director and conductor, together with members of the orchestra, includes:
